Overview

AB Looper is a video player app that lets you set A/B loop markers on videos. Your privacy matters to us, and this policy explains what data the app handles.

Data stored on your device

AB Looper stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Video URLs you have loaded
• Video thumbnails cached in the app's private storage
• Your playback preferences (default speed, seek step size)
• Video entry metadata (names, favorites, timestamps)

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server.

Crash reporting

AB Looper uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect crash reports and non-fatal error data. This helps us identify and fix bugs. Crashlytics may collect:

• Device model and operating system version
• App state at the time of a crash (stack traces, breadcrumb logs)
• Crashlytics installation UUID (not tied to your identity)

Crash reporting is disabled in debug builds and only active in release builds. No personally identifiable information is collected.

Third-party services

The app connects to third-party services to resolve video URLs:

• YouTube (via youtube_explode_dart) — to extract playable stream URLs and video titles
• Instagram (via in-app webview) — to extract video URLs from posts and reels

These connections are made directly from your device. AB Looper does not operate any proxy or intermediary server.

Data we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

• Personal information (name, email, phone number)
• Location data
• Usage analytics or behavioral tracking
• Advertising identifiers

In-app purchases

AB Looper may offer optional in-app purchases to unlock premium features. All payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple may share transaction receipts and purchase history with us solely to verify and deliver purchased features. For details on how Apple handles your payment data, see Apple's Privacy Policy.

Children's privacy

AB Looper does not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
